On my way back down from Cascade canyon I stopped and looked back at Inspiration point. I loved the way the clouds framed this tree with the sun just behind them.

Grand tetons by moonlight
I arrived at Schwambacher's landing about an hour before sunrise just enough time to get a shot of the Tetons lit only by the moon.

The Tetons from the Snake river
I spent a little time walking down the snake river after photographing the sunrise. I really like the bright blue skies on this morning.

The warmth of the setting sun
Having just returned from a two week trip to Grand Teton I have to admit that almost half the time I was there I spent watching and photographing two fox dens. This is an image of a Red fox mother with one of her six kits enjoying a bit of warmth as the sun began to set, just before the cold winds began at the base of the Grand Tetons.
Sunset on Cottonwood Creek
My last night in the Grand Teton National park I was teated to this beautifully colored sunset.

End of the day at Oxbow bend
On my first evening in the Grand Tetons recently I made my way to Oxbow bend to try and catch the sunset. Just as the sun was beginning to set behind the mountains it illuminated the tops of the aspen tress on the right, and gave off some spectacular color.

Sunrise at the Moulton barn
The Iconic Moulton barn is probably one of the most photographed barns in the united states.

Making a splash
This bull moose was crossing the Gros Ventre River with his five cows in mid September. The cows all crossed before him and made very little noise nor did they splash about much in the water. However when this Bull moved into the water he made sure that everyone knew he was there splashing about and putting on a show.
Portrait of a Moose
I spent a day following this Bull around while on a trip to the Tetons. He had a cow and calf along with him and he was waiting for the sign from the cow that she was ready. However this allowed me many opportunites to capture various shots of him throught the day. This is one of my favorites mostly because of the simplicity of the image. And the boldness of his demeanor.
Fall color
On my last morning in the Tetons I was waiting on some Moose to make their way down to the Snake River. While I was waiting the sun began to rise behind them and slowly fill the valley with light. I made the cottonwood trees really pop and illuminated the ridges of the ledges in the valley. All while this Moose Cow grazed in the sage brush with a bull somewhere just out of sight.
